Polyimide Coating

Polyimide coating provides a tough aromatic film exhibiting an excellent balance of physical, chemical, and electrical properties over a wide temperature range from 0° Kelvin (-459.66°F) to unusually high temperatures (752°F). Chemically, Durafilm® Polyimide coating is a modified Type 1 polyimide solution based on 4,4′ oxydianiline, benzophenone tetracarboxylic dianhydride and pyromellitic dianhydride. Physical, chemical, mechanical, and electrical properties are comparable to DuPont™ KAPTON® type HN film and can be used in a wide variety of electrically insulating applications.
